Principle
of XINTECH MasterFinish blasting
method
In
order to achieve specific and defined surface, there are various ways which
can be applied. One of them is so-called "blasting method".
Generally, the physical interrelation of kinetic energy is used in this
method. Mass x speed squared equals energy. Different blasting
material in form and size lead to different results. This specifically
applicable differences are used as basic technique in the XINTECH blasting
machines. Choice of
blasting material
The
blasting materials may consist of different substances, thus they have
difference specific weight. This fact can be also applied to various
results on the surface. A mixture of blasting materials, which show
generally different specific weight of the each component, can achieve several
requirements on the surface in single working step by using different impact
energies. The choice of blasting material and possible mixture depends
primarily on the requirements of surface and its intended use.
Stepwise treatment of
surface
The applied blasting material
varies generally in two groups; the non-abrasive and the abrasive.
In the most of cases, both types show different topography (sharp of round).
1st step:
For the preparation of surface,
so-called the first step, a sharp and abrasive blasting material is used
mostly. Machined surfaces are contaminated in different ways, so that they
are not suitable or unusable for the further process or the intended
purpose. The contamination or particles which are not properly bounded
with the substance should be removed exactly out of the non-uniform surface,
without changing the preset geometry.
2nd step:
After homogeneous surface has
been achieved by the first step, it can be now optimized. By removing of
contamination and loose inclusion, originated from various working methods,
numerous pits and points arise inescapably. In the second step, the pits
are smoothed specifically, so that the new surface is uniformed.
3rd step:
In order to achieve special
attribute for any surface, a third step can be applied with coated, non-abrasive
granulate or granulate which is embedded with substances to get intended
contamination. This intended contamination can provide e.g. better sliding
effect or longer lifetime of the parts.
Wide-range experience over many
years of our application engineers are always at your disposal. We will be
also pleased to carry out trial and surface analysis in our own
laboratory. Surface treatment of an issue of trust and requires wide
knowledgt.
