Quartz Crystal Pressure Sensor

pressure sensorQuartz crystal pressure sensor for measurement of dynamic and quastatic pressures of plastic materials up to 2000 bar. Special construction of flat front part without membrane for direct mounting  into injection moulding forms. This sensor is not suitable for measurement of fluid or gaseous media.  With integrated high-temperature cable with a plug-in socket.

The electric load from the pressure sensor (pC=Picocolomb) will converted by load amplifier into a proportional output voltage of 0 .. 10 V.  This is practically independent from the cable length of the sensor.

 

Combined Pressure/Temperature Sensor

Measurement of physical values in reference to the quality control in production of plastic parts gains more and more importance. It is obvious since a long time that the pressure measurement alone is not sufficient to achieve the quality and reproductivity of the parts.  In order to define the correct volume in a cavity, it is necessary to gain a measurement pair of pressure and temperature on a one and same point on the part surface.

pT-sensor (front) In 1986, one of our staffs in R&D department has carried out the first measurement by a combined temperature/pressure sensor.  The experience gained from these tests have been integrated in the series of production of the sensor and the development of the pvT optimizing unit. The pressure values are acquired by piezo-electrical method.  The temperature can be measured by mini shielded thermocouples (electro-technical) or b light wave spectrum.
